What's the â Chase Select Hotels badge?
These hotels qualify for an extra $250 credit in 2026 on top of the regular $250 Edit credit, so you can get up to $500 back from Chase per booking. The Select list covers IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor, and Pan Pacific properties.
Should I book through Amex or Chase?
Amex FHR: $100 hotel credit, free breakfast for two, 4pm checkout, and a room upgrade. Works for one-night stays. Great for short trips.
Amex THC: $100 experience credit and a room upgrade. Two-night minimum. No breakfast or late checkout.
Chase Edit: Up to $250 back per booking (or $500 at Select Hotels in 2026). Two-night minimum. No in-stay perks like breakfast or upgrades.
Can I use both Amex and Chase credits on the same stay?
You can't use both programs on the same booking. Book through Amex Travel OR Chase Travel. But you can split a stay across two prepaid reservations at the same hotel to capture both credits.
Why do some hotels show up in only one program?
Amex and Chase each have their own deals with hotels. Amex leans toward big-name resorts and international luxury. Chase Edit leans toward US cities and boutique stays. There's a lot of overlap (~900 hotels), but each side has hotels the other doesn't.
